Session Recap
What we covered and how to apply it this week.
Claude Code is not a coding tool - it is an instruction tool that runs in your terminal. You describe what you need in plain English. Claude Code writes the code and runs it. You review the result. The terminal is not scary - it is just a text interface. Claude Code can do things non-coders need all the time: rename files, process folders, extract data, convert formats, generate reports. It is the door to every AI automation capability your computer has - and you do not need to know how to code to walk through it.
---
Open your terminal. Navigate to any folder with files in it. Tell Claude Code to generate a summary of what is in that folder - file names, sizes, modification dates. Save it as a text file. This is your first Claude Code task. It will take two minutes. Spend the rest of the time reading the result and understanding what just happened.
---
Use Claude Code to analyze a real folder on your computer and generate a summary file. Screenshot your terminal command, screenshot the output file, and tell us what felt unfamiliar and what felt easy. Your AI Buddy grades on whether you actually did it, whether your instruction was clear, and whether the results are accurate. This is real work - not a simulation.
